The building, designed by Grid Architects, is a 17-storey structure that underwent a significant transformation involving re-cladding and refurbishment. The new facade, an angled aluminium perforated cladding, was designed to brighten the building, concealing its openable windows. This renovation played a significant part in the wider regeneration of the area. The transformation of the 50-year-old building, which originally had commercial use, presented considerable challenges that were meticulously addressed in the design phase.

Vantage Point offers a variety of apartment types including studio, one-bedroom, two-bedroom, and three-bedroom flats. These apartments are designed with luxurious fixtures and finishes, and come furnished with a range of furniture and accessories. Unique features of these apartments include equally sized bedrooms in all flats with more than one bedroom, underfloor heating, super-fast broadband, and inclusive maintenance. Tenants have the option to choose from a range of kitchens, bathrooms, furniture, and feature wall colours depending on the type and style of apartment they prefer.

The building offers over 7,000 sq ft of common space for social and fitness activities. The top two floors are converted into beautiful communal areas with a double-height penthouse lounge, dining room, and terraces providing panoramic views over London. Other shared amenities include a gym, games room, communal library, meeting room, and workspace. The two spacious roof terraces, complete with a barbecue and pizza oven, provide the ideal space for summer parties and al fresco dining.

Vantage Point is situated in the heart of Islington, on the corner of Highgate Hill. The local area offers a wealth of options including the boutiques, pubs, and cafes of Crouch End to the north and a diverse selection of restaurants, theatres, and bars on Upper Street and Angel to the south. Green spaces like Elthorne, Whittington, and Dartmouth Parks are within 500m of the development. Highgate Cemetery and Highgate Wood, as well as the Parkland Walk, provide great opportunities for outdoor activities.

The residents’ team at Vantage Point, available 24 hours a day, assists residents and organises regular social events such as Saturday breakfasts and Christmas dinners. The top two floors can be booked by residents for special occasions and are also the venue for many of the residents’ team’s social events throughout the year. Responding to the demand for pet-friendly rental properties, Vantage Point has dedicated four floors for pet-owning renters, with all pets vetted and approved by the residents’ team.
